Energy Efficient Design Brookint2b
Modern architectural design with Japanese inspired natural lighting is accomplished with the imaginative use of industrial insulating panels This home utilizes solar design with respect to passive heating and cooling. The green architecture elements include orienting the home to capture cooling summer breezes while the room configurations buffer living spaces from the cold winter winds. The home was designed with a ground source geothermal heat pump.

Chicago Lincoln Park residence with dramatic three story light well. Pressure differential created through the use of operable skylights and roof configuration naturally increases ventilation throughout the home reducing the need for mechanical air conditioning. This brick and limestone home has a central circular rotunda that has a beamed ceiling with an oculus that perceptually is open to the sky.
